ARTIST STATEMENT AND BIO

Thank you for visiting my websites with a special thanks to all of those who've purchased my prints. I hope you will take the time to visit my newest galleries including my CAROUSEL HORSES COLLECTION, AMERICANA PHOTOGRAPHIA COLLECTION, and CARSCHACH COLLECTION. I hope you enjoy my galleries and that you will send me your comments via email.

My mother introduced me to photography as a child with a Brownie black and white film camera and continued her joy of picture taking until her passing. In addition, my uncles Cody and Hugh Grider were avid camera and photography enthusiasts. I consider myself a fortunate man to have family that have had such a profound impact on me in such a special way, and by my wife Becky who was my biggest fan until the end. In turn, I have passed on my love for photography to my daughter Callan who is interested in painting, jewelry design, fashion, and fashion photography.

I prefer using nature's light whenever possible and am drawn to the beauty of objects and landscapes in and around my home. I use a number of digital software programs in order to enhance my own artistic vision of how each photographic capture should be revealed to the beholder.
